We have been packing our Classic platform with new features for more than 10 years, but the more complex the product becomes, the higher is the possibility of some issues. So based on the community feedback we took decision to issue a "maintenance release": bring shipping carriers integrations up to date, thin out the bugtraker, implement a number of improvements and fixes. Today we're introducing a new version of X-Cart Classic.
The new week brought us not only the first snow, but also the new version of X-Cart. And while X-Cart 4.6.5 is being polished (so that no #poodle could bite it!), the team of developers working on X-Cart 5 is sighing with relief: 5.1.7 is released. The new version got a number of excellent features you were waiting for. Check it out.
We all have been longing for this. And the happy moment comes: X-Cart 5 gets Advanced Order Management feature aka AOM! Simple, elegant, user-friendly for the administrator, the module is so complex from development point of view. And even after lots of tests, some glitches are possible. So we're rolling this module out as Beta version now...
X-Cart 5 is released. It contains a major hotfix of the installation issue on a Windows server, as well as a couple of other minor fixes. No new features this time.
A couple of new payment gateways, a free module which expands the X-Payments integration so that you could sell subscriptions and installments, improved product reviews feature, convenient uploading images via WYSIWYG, ability to set weight for product variants, export and import of related products, custom product tabs and a nice widget developed within the work on AOM - we've been working hard, and will work even harder, so that managing the store was a breeze, so that your store was nice, convenient and user-friendly, so that you could sell and earn more!
Now that the Summer Sales are over - both your and ours ;) - let's just relax and talk about something not related to sales at all. For example about our trip to the United States - to Internet Retail Conference and Exhibition aka IRCE, meeting with X-Carters in Rock Bottom, visiting partners in Columbus and Atlanta, and after all - relaxing in Miami and NYC
We're ready to introduce the new version of X-Cart Classic - v.4.6.4 is available. We hope it will help you to sell more, being a fast, convenient and reliable shopping cart software. What's new? ePDQ Essential integration; CyberSource integration; updated FedEX API; improved X-Payments connector; speed optimization; Support of PHP 5.5 and MySQli; ability to search/export "anonymous" customers.
Upgrade scripts - this is the only thing which was addressed in this release. Do not expect any new features this time. It's for those who experienced a problem with the upgrade to version 5.0.13, and had to keep using version 5.0.12. There were not that many stores, as it's reproduced in a particular environment only, yet it was important to address this issue - we stand for the statement that the upgrade procedure in our new-generation platform is smooth, seamless and quick.
